It’s obvious that dA is the site where I spend most of my time, and most likely yours too - but what other places to you regularly visit and participate in? What is it about them that you keep going back for more?

I have a whole bunch of RSS feeds on my google reader which I browse over during my morning coffee, some of my faves on there are mashable.com, dear streetsy, Web Strategy by Jeremiah and Giveawayoftheday.com.

I recently got hooked into stumble upon! which is extremely addictive as well as awesome. If you are on there, feel free to add me under purenarcotic — and make sure you check out what people have been saying about you and your work on dA via stumbling.

last.fm is a pretty wicked site too, which I check out at least once a day. I’ve discovered some really cool music ( and people!) on there.

Long story short - cute kid, “perfect family” ( parents are doctors) goes missing in Portugal. Instant media glut of papparazzi, banners, t shirts, you know the score. Madeleine’s face ( and her parents)) were everywhere. Her parents even met the Pope.

Would the world still have rallied around in such a way, or would they have been screaming NEGLECTFUL PARENT left right and centre.

Well - I think we’re about to find out.

Compare this case to the one of Shannon Matthews. Yes, that’s right — how many of you who heard about Maddie, have heard of this girl? Of course she doesn’t warrant the same media frenzy because her Mother doesn’t really make much of a photogenic comparison, and she’s got 7 other kids.

And now, the case of Scarlett Keiling - who;s mother is apparently facing a charge of neglect in her daughter’s rape & murder case.

Hypocrisy galore.

Oh and btw, Madeline is still missing, but the media are more interested in whether or not Prince Harry should or shouldn’t have had a buzz cut before he went to Iraq.
